Lordswood will see the return of Pakistani quick Touseeq Shah for their 2022 Essex Cricket League campaign.

Shah is an exciting pace bowling prospect who has excelled in the infancy of his Pakistani domestic career.
The tall quick, who boasts a striking resemblance to Muhammad Abbas, burst onto the scene in 2018 and now seems destined for the big time.
The right-arm quick made his first-class debut in September 2018 for Ralwalpind, taking 8 wickets against ZTBL (4-49, 4-15). He followed up with 9 wickets in his second match against Pakistan TV (5-30, 4-103). Shah grabbed his second five-wicket haul the following month against Multan (5-75) and finished the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy as Rawalpindi’s joint leading wicket-taker (alongside Haseeb Azam and Saad Altaf), with 23 wickets at 20.34, despite playing only 6 matches.
The following season, due to a domestic restructuring, he didn’t feature for the star-studded Rawalpindi side, so instead played for Northern Areas in the Quaid-e-Azam Second XI Trophy.
Brief stint last summer… and set for full stint in 2022
Shah is now pushing for a first-class return, and in a view to helping his cause, he enjoyed a successful stint with Lordswood in the Kent League last summer (2021). Due to COVID, and subsequent visa delays, he only featured in the final 10 matches, but during this time impressed bagging 17 wickets at 16.65.
Due to his success, Lordswood was quick to re-sign their Pakistani express for a second season in 2022.
