Dikshanshu Negi is a genuine all-rounder in every sense of the word. An explosive batter in the top-order who bowls leg-spin and off-spin to right, and left-handers, respectively.
A latecomer to the domestic game, Negi made his Uttarakhand State debut a month prior to his 30th birthday. He made up for lost time, hitting the most runs for Uttarakhand during the 2019/20 Ranji Trophy campaign.
Roll on 2020/21, and he was a stand-out performer in both white-ball formats, particularly the Vijay Hazare Trophy (List A) where he averaged 42.33, and 18.90 with bat and ball respectively. His exploits culminated with selection by the Mumbai Indians for the 2021 IPL, acting as a support player.
The following season (2022/23), he continued to shine with batting averages of 31.00, 80.33, and 35.50 across the three formats, however, last summer these figures tailed off in first-class and List A, but he did average 38 in the T20 format.
Despite his under-performance in domestic cricket last summer, the Uttarakhand star remains a high-class performer as he's proved during his two UK stints. In 2023, he dominated the Devon Premier League, guiding Sandford to the Premiership courtesy of topping the batting (810 runs at 67.50), and bowling (43 wickets at 9.21) charts, respectively.
Last summer (2024), the trend continued, helping his side to Greater Manchester League promotion (from Prem 2) and also GMCL Cup success. He was instrumental throughout the summer, particularly in the back-end to end up with 910 runs at 41.36 alongside 63 wickets at 10.75.
The Indian all-rounder is arguably one of the best professionals on the market and he's now considering his options for the 2025 season.
