Yash Kothari is an incredibly talented batting all-rounder who has dominated for the star-studded Rajasthan side post-COVID.

Playing alongside the likes of Indian stars Rahul Chahar, and Ravi Bishnoi, Kothari has impressed since the resumption of cricket across all formats.

In November 2022, Kothari would strike back to back Vijay Hazare Trophy centuries against Jharkhand (139 from 144 balls), and Vidarbha (109* from 118 balls), to end the tournament with 306 runs at 102. Kothari would then continue to shine in red-ball cricket belting 464 runs at 38.66 with a highest score of 96 in the Ranji Trophy.

Whilst known for his explosive batting, Kothari is an economical left-arm spinner who has excelled in both age group and senior men’s cricket. Courtesy of his Vijay Hazare Trophy success, he was rewarded with Central Zone selection, where he picked up 3 wickets in his 2 Deodhar Trophy matches (July 2023).

Last summer (2023/24), Kothari was less prolific in Ranji Trophy cricket only hitting the two half centuries. However, he saved those runs for his maiden UK club stint in 2024. Playing for Benwell Hill in the North East Premier League, Kothari struck 5 centuries amongst 1,114 runs at 65.47 alongside 30 wickets at 26.1 with his left arm spin.

The Indian all-rounder was one of league cricket's best pros last summer and courtesy of his success has been snapped up by Alsager for their 2025 North Staffs and South Cheshire League campaign.
