Eppleton is pleased to announce the signing of Pakistani left-arm quick Taj Wali for their 2022 North East Premier League campaign.
Wali is set to replace outgoing professional, Sadaf Hussain, who was unable to deliver the required documentation for the ECB endorsement.
Impressive domestic numbers
Taj Wali is a domestic stalwart who has graced the Pakistani cricket circuit for well over a decade.
Since his List A debut in 2011, the left-arm quick has played over 150 matches and is approaching 400 wickets across the three formats.
Wali has been a consistent performer over the years, particularly in red-ball (Quaid-e-Azam Trophy) cricket where he’s bagged 261 wickets at 26.25.
Nudging national honours
Courtesy of his dominant exploits over the years, Wali was finally rewarded with Pakistan A inclusion during the 2018/19 season.
Over his career, Wali has taken 21 five-wicket bags and 3 ten-wicket hauls, with best figures of 7/50, and 12/121, respectively.
The gifted left-arm seamer currently plays for Baluchistan alongside Pakistan stars Iman-Ul-Haq, Umar Akmal, Yasir Shah, Shan Masood, and Khurram Shehzad, where he is their “go-to” quick.
Set for maiden UK stint in 2022
Wali is a class performer who is now set to showcase his talent in UK league cricket in 2022. He has recently signed with Eppleton where he hopes to impress in their North East Premier League campaign.
