** Updated profile for 2025 coming soon... **
Saad Khan is an exciting prospect pushing for national selection. Given his domestic exploits, it seems only a matter of time till the batting all-rounder hits the big stage.
A schoolboy prodigy, Khan represented Pakistan through the age groups, including 3 years and 16 matches for the U19s (2016-18).
He made his first-class debut for Habib Bank whilst still in his teens (2018), but it was his move to his current club Sindh that put Khan firmly on the map.
During the 2021/22 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (first-class), he would strike 2 centuries amongst 769 runs at 64.08, before a further 610 runs at 40.66 last season (2022/23).
Sandwiched between these two seasons, he ventured abroad playing his maiden UK stint for Furness in the Cumbria Premier League. Despite playing only 13 matches (due to visa delays owing to the Ukrainian situation) he would manage 425 runs at 42.50 alongside 8 wickets at 20.38 with his promising left-arm spin. He then returned in 2023 and the trend continued for Beckenham, finishing as one of the stand-out professional all-rounders in the Kent League (673 runs at 44.87 and 32 wickets at 18.69).
Khan really is a serious talent who is pushing for national honours, but for the time being, is set to return for his third UK stint in 2024 having signed with Old Rutlishians for their Surrey Championship campaign.
