Skelmanthorpe have strengthened its ranks ahead of the 2023 season with the signing of Indian professional Prayash Singh for their Drakes Huddersfield League campaign.
Singh is a genuine all-rounder who exploded onto the Indian domestic circuit this summer.
Having taken figures of 4/51 on his return to one-day cricket for Odisha in November 2022, he would earn his Ranji Trophy debut the following month taking 3/66 against Haryana.
Roll on the New Year and Singh would belt his maiden first-class century, a magnificent 104 from 141 balls against Nagaland.
Coming in at number 8, the talented all-rounder struck 15 boundaries, and a six, in his 158-run partnership with fellow CricX client Shantanu Mishra.
He would then push successive tons in his next match, falling just short (73 from 101 balls) against the star-studded Himachal Pradesh side.
Singh would conclude the 2022/23 Ranji season with 237 runs at 39.50 alongside impressive white ball numbers of 12 wickets at 30.41 (List A) and 5 wickets at 19.20 (T20)
Recommended by none other than Indian legend, Wasim Jaffer, Singh represents an exciting seam bowling all-rounder option for the future.
The Odisha star all-rounder is now set to play his maiden UK stint in 2023 having signed with Skelmanthorpe for their Drakes Huddersfield Cricket League.
