CricX are excited to confirm Lisarow Ourimbah CC’s signing of Sam Wisniewski for their 2023/24 season.

A talented young bowler with many variations, Sam has already burst onto the professional scene in recent years. Wisniewski has already made two appearances for the Yorkshire Vikings in the T20 Blast back in 2020. In his debut against Lancashire Lightning, the 21-year-old had figures of 0-15 off 2 overs, and against Derbyshire the following week had figures of 0-17 again from 2 overs.

Generally more suited to white ball cricket, Wisniewski was picked up to playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament for Pune Devils back in 2021. In the tournament he claimed the wickets of global superstar Nicholas Pooran and showed his ability to pick up wickets with his attacking bowling style. Most recently Sam played in the Atlanta Open back in October last year for the Florida Scorpions. Playing in only one game, he claimed match figures of 4 overs 2 for 40.

On Saturdays, Sam represents Pudsey Congs Cricket Club in the top tier of the Bradford Premier League. In 2022 the left-arm leggy took a staggering 65 league wickets at an average of 14.91, returning best figures of 6/53. Impressively he also bowled his 256 overs whilst boasting an economy rate of 3.77.

We wish Sam and everyone at Lisarow Ourimbah all the best for their upcoming campaign.
