CricX are delighted to announce Narre South Cricket Club’s signing of English Minor Counties & East Anglian Premier League star Alex Cruickshank for the upcoming 2023/24 campaign.

Cruickshank is a 22 year old aggressive right arm medium-fast swing bowler from Cambridge, England. Alex predominantly flourishes with the new ball and in the death overs, while being a capable lower order batter.

Alex represents Suffolk Minor County and Bury St Edmunds in the East Anglian Premier League. After previously representing Mildenhall in the EAPL, Alex experienced his breakout season in 2022 after moving clubs to Bury St. Edmunds, finishing the clubs’ leading wicket taker across all competitions. In 2022, Alex spearheaded Bury St Edmunds bowling attack, taking 25 wickets at an average of 31.4. Within other representative cricket, Alex has played for Essex Academy several times in the 2019 season as well as making his Minor Counties debut for Suffolk early in the 2023 season.

Alex also has a wealth of experience within coaching. Alex is a ECB qualified Core Coach, the new equivalent of a Level Two certificate. In two years of coaching experience, Alex has worked for a number of different coaching companies, teaching boys and girls of ages from 5-18. He is currently lead coach for Wenden Cricket Club’s junior programme, which possesses over 300 juniors. Alex is currently coaching at Culford School in Suffolk.
