CricX are delighted to announce Port Melbourne Cricket Club’s signing of Lewis O’Donnell for the 2023/24 Season.

The all-rounder is a front line right arm seamer, athletic fielder and fluent right hand middle order batsman. Due to his Scottish heritage he is currently playing for the famous Carlton Cricket Club in the Eastern Premier League in Scotland, having previously played Premier League cricket in the North of England.

The speedster went through the Yorkshire County Cricket Club age group system right up until under 18s level. Over the last couple of seasons the youngster has played for Caledonian Highlanders in the Scottish Pro Regional Series, has represented Scotland in the European T10 Championships, and has also played for Scotland A. Due to his strong performances his was called upto the training squad for the ICC World Cup training squad.

O’Donnell during this time has been studying at Durham University, where he has been a member for the Durham UCCE side, playing against various counties and picking up a handful of First Class wickets (including England All-Rounder David Willey). Moving forward the all-rounder is keen to push on into the Professional Game and sees 6 months playing and training in Australia or New Zealand as critical in his cricketing journey.

We would like to wish Lewis and everyone at Port Melbourne CC all the best for their upcoming campaign.
