CricX are excited to announce Cowdrey Cricket Club’s signing of Tevin Imlach for the remainder of the 2023 season.

Tevin is an accomplished wicket-keeper batter whose recent domestic exploits culminated with West Indies squad selection for the recent Indian series (July 2023).

After two strong 4-day tournaments (272 runs at 45.33, and 237 runs at 21.54 in 2022, and 2022/23 respectively), Imlach had previously earned his Windies A cap, playing two matches against their Bangladesh counterparts.

Last summer (2022/23), Imlach was an integral member of Guyana’s victorious 4-day campaign, scoring a crucial (and his maiden) first-class century (136*) against the star-studded Jamaican side.

A schoolboy prodigy, Imlach always seemed destined for the big time. He was part of the West Indies Under-19 ICC World Cup winning side in 2016, playing alongside the likes of Shimron Hetmyer, Alzarri Joseph, Keemo Paul, and Chemar Holder who have gone on to become fully fledged Windies international players.

He broke into the Guyana domestic side in 2018/19, but only played two matches before his breakthrough 2022 season. Roll on his most recent season and he not only impressed in red ball cricket, but topped Guyana’s run charts in the Regional Super50 tournament (268 runs at 44.66).

We would like to wish Tevin and everyone at Cowdrey Cricket Club all the best for the remainder of their campaign.
