CricX is thrilled to announce Rockingham Mandurah District CC’s signing of Mitch Wagstaff for the 2023/24 Season.

Wagstaff is a left-handed opening batsman who is currently contracted as a professional at Derbyshire County Cricket Club.

A former England Under 19 international, the Derbyshire born batter is a product of his home counties junior pathway system. After making several County 2nd XI appearances the attacking all format batter made his List-A debut for Derby back in July 2021.

After receiving his first full time professional contract at the beginning of the 2022 season, the 19-year-old has gone on to make his First-Class debut during the current English season against Gloucestershire back in May. In Club Cricket, the aggressive opener, who also bowls right-arm leg spin has chalked up 468 runs for Derbyshire Premier League side Spondon.

After striking 171 not out for his Club side, Wagstaff also struck a maiden 2nd XI hundred against Nottinghamshire back in July. His prolific form with the bat will see him be in contention to finish the season in the 1st XI four-day side; before he turns his attention to a season in the Southern Hemisphere to continue his development.

We wish Mitch and everyone at Rockingham-Mandurah the best of luck for their upcoming 2023/24 Campaign.
