Following their Kent Premier League success, Lordswood is delighted to announce the re-signing of Thando Ntini for their title defense.
Ntini is an exciting prospect and son of Proteas legend Makhaya Ntini. Like his father, Thando is an opening bowler who’s enjoyed plenty of success during his career to date.
He represented South Africa at the ICC Under-19 World Cup in January 2018 and was picked up by the South Africa Emerging Players in 2019. He has starred at both provincial and Franchise level for Western Province, Cape Cobras, Titans, and most recently KwaZulu-Natal Coastal, and the Dolphins.
In his 50-plus domestic matches to date, Ntini has taken over 80 wickets, including best bowling figures of 4-36 on his Momentum One Day Cup debut for the Cobras in February 2020.
The talented quick, who is a useful batter in the lower-middle order, really is quite the prospect for South Africa in future.
Last summer, Ntini was instrumental in Lordswood Cricket Club’s Kent Premier League victory scoring 416 runs at 32 alongside his 28 wickets at 22.25.
Given his success, Lordswood has re-signed their South African star for the 2024 season.
