Shahidullah Hassani is a hugely talented left-arm spin bowling all-rounder from Afghanistan.
An Afghan refugee (arrived 06 Feb 2022), Hassani is now making his home in the UK (Croydon), and looking to pursue a career in cricket.
Prior to emigrating to the UK, Hassani was a stand-out prospect in Afghanistan. The left-arm spinner represented his Country at U17 and U19 levels where he starred.
In early 2022, Hassani was part of Afghanistan’s successful U19 World Cup campaign in the West Indies. Playing alongside fellow CricX clients including Suliman Safi, Allah Noor, Nangeyalia Kharote, and Ijaz Ahmadzai, he formed part of their exceptional spin quartet that included Kharote, BBL star Izharulhaq Naveed, and latest Afghan sensation Noor Ahmad.
In his two matches during the world cup, Hassani bagged figures of 2-28 (7) against Zimbabwe and 2-44 (10) in the third-placed final against Australia.
The Croydon-based Afghan is an impressive talent, one who has a future in the game. He is seeking a club in close proximity where he can showcase his skills for the 2024 season.
