Ballyspallen is pleased to announce the signing of dual Passport-holding Australian all-rounder James Cusack for their 2024 North West Cricket Union campaign.
James Cusack is a classy bowling all-rounder playing for Broadbeach Robina in the Brisbanes Gold Coast.
A right-arm off-spinner who bowls with excellent control, he currently plays in the top tier for Broadbeach Robina in a side that features Sussex quick Henry Crocombe.
After spending the 2020/21 season playing in the 2nd Grade at Runaway Bay Cricket Club, James went on to take 13 wickets at 22.38 before deciding to continue his journey and sign for Broadbeach Robina Cricket Club ahead of the 2021/22 season.
His 1st Grade debut for Broadbeach Robina came early in the 2021/22 Season and he concluded the season with 20 wickets at 17.05 (Best: 4/3) for the Gold Coast Premier Side. He has since gone from strength to strength and is now one of the 1st Grade side’s key performances.
Cousin of former Irish International Alex Cusack, James spent the 2019 season plying his trade in Division 3 of the Leicestershire and Rutland League for Melton Mowbray. He enjoyed a productive season – 831 runs at 34.6, including two centuries and four half-centuries, whilst also taking 33 wickets at 17.82.
Cusack is now set to return abroad having signed with Ballyspallen for their 2024 North West Cricket Union campaign.
