Andile Mogakane is an exciting prospect playing for the star-studded Warriors provincial side in South African domestic cricket.

A batting all-rounder of some pedigree, Mogakane has progressed through the ranks, representing the Dolphins Academy/Cubs (2016/17), before breaking into the South African U19s (2017/18), with whom he featured at the ICC U19 World Cup in New Zealand (2018).

Before this, Mogakane had already earned both T20 (Sept 2017) and List A (Oct 2017) debuts for KwaZulu-Natal, before going on to make his first-class debut in March 2019.

Since then, Mogakane has featured in over 75 matches across the three domestic formats, most recently for the Warriors after stints with KZN Inland, Coastal, and the Dolphins. To date, he has racked up over 1,500 runs with 6 half-centuries, in addition to 18 wickets with his brisk medium pace. Mogakane has also enjoyed success for the South African Emerging Players (2023), taking 4 wickets alongside 70 with the bat in the second match vs Zimbabwe, before another 4-wicket bag (4/56) against the same outfit in August 2024.

Off the field, Mogakane has a Sports-related degree from Northwood University and has a keen interest in coaching, where he holds a CSA-accredited qualification.

The young batting all-rounder, who currently occupies the number three spot for the Warriors in the CSA 4-Day Series (Division 1), is quite the talent who is eager to return to Northern shores in 2025 following his maiden stint in 2022. Mogakane turned out for Stokesley in the strong North Yorkshire and South Durham Premier League (861 runs at 37.43 and 35 wickets at 28.57).

Mogakane is quite the prospect who is now seeking a UK return next summer.
