After impressing for the U18's during the 2023 season, Tew earned his call up after taking 23 wickets and scoring 215 during last years campaign. Also attending the prestigious Uppingham School, Liam has represented the 1st XI across the last two summers, racking up 350 runs at an average of 33.5, as well as taking 41 wickets at an impressive average of 15.91.

In club cricket, the quick turns out for Collingham & District in Division Two for the Nottinghamshire Premier League. Making his debut in 2022, the midlands born talent has 51 wickets at an average of 20.14, although due to school commitments hasn't been available most weekends.

A dynamic 18-year-old, Liam is tall in stature and bowls with good pace, possessing all the required attributes to succeed as a quick bowler. With the bat in hand, his stats show that he is no slouch, and comprehensively slots into the middle-order of any club cricket line up. With ambitions to play professional cricket, no doubt Tew is one to watch for the future.

Now seeking his first stint in the Southern Hemisphere, the Leicestershire Academy prospect will be travelling on his New Zealand Passport and will no doubt be a terrific pick up for his chosen 'Kiwi' club.
