In the 2023/24 season, he featured in the top two grades, with 5 appearances in the highest level. His team included state players like Mitch Swepson, Jake Winter, Ben Cooper, and Blake Macdonald. Last summer, Gardner took 15 wickets across the top two grades at an average of 26.53.
