Nicholas Catt is a promising batting all-rounder playing for Old Parktonians (Old Parks) in Gauteng’s Premier (1st XI) comp.
An opening, or top 4 batter who bowls brisk medium pace (and can keep wicket), Catt has started to establish himself at Premier club level, following a dominant school career. Catt also has a British Passport courtesy of his English born father, and comes highly recommended by former Somerset coach Dave Nosworthy.
Playing for Parktown Boys’ High School, Catt was a stand-out in the 1st XI. He skippered the side towards the end of his schooling and was awarded full colours for cricket. Catt was also a Gauteng provincial age-group trialist in both 2018 and 2019.
Since leaving school the South African has been performing well in the Gauteng Premier comp, and is eager to showcase his skills in the UK for the 2025 season. Catt is also a qualified coach and umpire so happy to be part of a clubs junior coaching set up when in the UK.
Catt is now set to showcase his skills abroad in 2025 having signed with Linton Park for their Kent League campaign.
