Muhammad Naveed is an action-packed cricketer playing professional cricket in Pakistan.
However, (and unfortunately) he hasn’t made the PCB list for their proposed domestic tournament due to run between May and August 2025, hence is seeking a UK opportunity next summer.
A genuine all-rounder – Naveed is an opening, hit-the-deck style quick, and explosive middle-order batter (as can be seen by his impressive video footage).
Whilst he has only featured in 10 domestic matches (5 FC, 1 List A, 4 T20) to date, he has shown plenty of promise and it’s expected he’ll add to this tally in future.
In his most recent first-class tournament – Pakistan’s prestigious President’s Trophy, he played for Water and Development Power Authority. His skipper was none other than Pakistan star Iftikhar Ahmed, in a side that also included Umar Akmal.
Prior to this, he played for Lahore Whites in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, a side featuring the likes of Ahmed Shehzad, Abid Ali, Saad Nasim, and Aamer Jamal. The fact Naveed even makes these sides is clearly testament to his ability.
His selection for first-class honours came courtesy of his exploits at senior inter-district level in Lahore. Naveed has been a prolific performer for many years, boastings a highest score of 219 with averages 43 and 17, with bat and ball, respectively.
Whilst Naveed has yet to replicate his inter-district performances at professional level, he clearly has serious ability. He is eager to showcase this in the UK next summer and we suspect he’s someone that will make waves throughout the 2025 season.
