Frocester is delighted to announce the signing of Sri Lankan young gun, Jeewaka Sashin, for their 2024 West of England Premier League campaign.
Sashin is an exceptional batting talent coming through the Sri Lankan ranks.
A schoolboy prodigy, Sashin excelled for Devapathiraja College, and the Negombo age group sides culminating with Sri Lankan Under-19 selection (Oct 2021).
The following year (Aug 2022), he would go on to make his first-class debut for Negombo. Sashin has now featured in 24 domestic matches across the three formats, where he averages mid-20s, with a highest score of 130 in red ball cricket.
Whilst known for his batting, Sashin is a useful off-spinner, and dynamic fielder, who was voted the “All Island” best fielder for the 2022/23 season.
A stand-out prospect, Sashin is set to head abroad in 2024 having signed with Frocester for their West of England Premier League campaign.
