Lindow is delighted to confirm the signing of kiwi batting all-rounder Sarah Parker for their 2023 Cheshire Women’s Cricket League campaign.

Parker is a talented opening batter who bowls off-spin pushing for professional honours in New Zealand domestic cricket.

Parker, who opens the batting for Lancaster Park Premier Women’s alongside former White Ferns international Frankie Mackay, has been involved with the Canterbury Development squad and was involved with the Otago Sparks training squad in the past. It seems only a matter of time till she earns full selection to play in New Zealand’s Women’s domestic competitions.

The daughter of a former professional cricketer, Parker has grown up around high-level sport, cricket, and netball, in particular. Unfortunately, her early career was hampered by injury but after two major knee surgeries (aged 15/16), she has returned to full fitness and is incredibly driven to break into professional cricket. Last summer (2021/22), she topped Lancaster Park’s Premier Women run charts so clearly has all the tools to progress in the game.

Holder of a British Passport, Paker has also previously enjoyed a stint abroad, albeit in a PE Department in Stratford-upon-Avon (2018). During her gap year, she delivered various sports at the school, including cricket. She even created a cricket coaching manual that the school still uses to this day.

Parker is now set on a UK return in 2023, this time to play a season’s cricket, having signed with Lindow for their Cheshire Women’s Cricket League campaign.
