CricX are excited to announce Bentleigh Cricket Club have signed Suffolk CCC & Bury St Edmunds CC All-Rounder Josh Cantrell for the 2023/24 season.
The youngster is an exceptional athlete who excels in all aspects of the game. Josh has already played two first-class games for Cambridge MCCU and continues to dominate club cricket for Bury St Edmunds in the East Anglian Premier League.
Josh scored 705 runs from his 18 games in 2022, finishing the season with an average of 50.36. Bowling right-arm off-spin the all-rounder also took 25 wickets at an average of 27.1 for his club last season.
Also representing Suffolk CCC, Josh took 17 wickets and scored some important runs amongst a lean spell during the middle of the season. For the upcoming 2023 season, Josh will begin his tenure as Bury St Edmunds 1st XI captain, whilst he will also continue to represent Suffolk CCC in all three formats.
