Adeesha Nanayakkara is a prolific Sri Lankan professional whose career has flourished both at home and abroad. A former Sri Lanka Under-19 representative, he has been a consistent force in domestic cricket since his debut for Saracens Sports Club in 2011/12, going on to represent several top-tier sides including Colombo Cricket Club, Bloomfield, SL Ports Authority, Ace Capital, Sebastianites, and the Sri Lankan Navy Sports Club. A hard-hitting opening batter, he boasts first-class and List A averages in the high 30s, with standout seasons such as 650 runs at 46.42 in 2018/19 and a remarkable 320 at 80 in the 2017/18 List A campaign.
His dominance extends well beyond Sri Lanka. In England, Nanayakkara became a match-winner for Chippenham Cricket Club, amassing 2,196 runs at 57.79 and taking 61 wickets at 18.80 across 2018 and 2019 to lead the club to back-to-back titles and promotions.
