Adeesha Thilanchana is a dynamic Sri Lankan all-rounder making his mark with Kandy Customs Sports Club. A powerful left-handed batter and skilful left-arm seamer, he has played more than 100 matches across all formats, but it’s in T20 cricket where he has truly stood out. Earlier in his career, he impressed with Moors Sports Club after joining in 2017/18, following spells with Sri Lanka Army SC and Sinhalese SC. His T20 exploits include a string of standout campaigns, highlighted by 31 wickets at 14.19 across four seasons and a third-place finish on the national tournament wicket charts in 2018/19.
While his bowling dominance has been most evident in the shortest format, Thilanchana has also showcased his batting talent, often opening the innings for Moors with a strike rate well above 100 and posting half-centuries in both first-class and List A cricket.
Overseas, he has been equally impactful. After a productive 2019 season with Boston CC in the Lincolnshire County Board Premier League, he became a prolific force in the South Staffs League with Old Wulfrunians Tettenhall, amassing 3,706 runs at 57.02 with seven centuries and claiming 88 wickets at 24.22 across four seasons. His most recent campaign was arguably his finest, piling up 974 runs at a staggering 81.17. After four highly successful stints with Old Wulfs, Thilanchana is now eyeing fresh challenges for the 2026 season.
