Alex Hinkley is a very highly thought of top order batter from the UK. Alex is a former Worcestershire Academy player and is hoping to break into the First Class game now he is finishing his studies.
Hinkley can bat anywhere in the top 4 and loves to be aggressive putting the bowlers on the back foot. He was the Worcestershire 17s leading run scorer in 2019 and due to his strong performances for them broke into the 2nd XI side.
The youngster has also been part of the Herefordshire CCC Minor County set up in recent times. At club level the Englishman now plays for Thornbury Cricket Club in the West of England Premier League, after strong stints at St Fagans (2022 season - 331 runs at 41) & Halesowen (702 runs at 26) over the last few seasons. The talented batter has also been part of the Cardiff Met & UCCE set up over the last few seasons.
Hinkley is also a keen coach eager to help out with a clubs junior coaching structure and also bowls some handy off spin that he is keen to develop.
The impressive Englishman has recently signed for East Albury Cricket Club for their 2024/25 Cricket Albury Wodonga campaign.
