A schoolboy prodigy, Majumder dominated the run-charts through the age-groups, culminating with Bangladesh Under-19 selection. He played 30 matches for the U19s - including 5 Tests, 25 ODIs, and 2 ICC World Cups (2008, 2010). He was a star performer for the U19s, with highlights being his centuries against Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka.

At domestic level, since his first-class debut as a teenager back in 2008, Majumder has played nearly 150 matches across the three formats and is on the verge of 4,000 runs.

Majumder has been in decent form since COVID, particularly in first-class and List A cricket. He is now looking to showcase his skills abroad with his maiden UK league stint in 2025.
