Some of his standout campaigns include the 2018/19 season, where he scored 511 runs at a remarkable 85.16 average, followed by strong returns in 2022 (316 runs at 63.20), 2022/23 (703 runs at 100.42), and 2024/25 (610 runs at 61). His performances earned him selection for the prestigious Duleep Trophy, representing India Red in August 2019 and North Zone in July 2023. On his Duleep Trophy debut, Kalsi made an immediate impact with a century (106) and a fifty (64) against India Blue, helping India Red secure the tournament title, a critical pathway to national honours.
