Charlie Hood is an extremely talented keeper/batterfrom Norfolk, England.
A right-handed top-order batter who is also a superb wicket-keeper, Charlie was previously part of the Northamptonshire County Cricket Club academy pathway and has already made eight appearances for the Counties senior 2XI.
Rated extremely highly gloveman currently plays his Saturday matches for Horsford Cricket Club In the East Anglian Premier League after previously playing in the Norfolk Alliance for Cromer Cricket Club. In 2022, between his Academy and County age-group cricket, Hood played 8 matches from his club averaging 29.71. He opened the batting on every occasion and also took the gloves, a high score of 71 not out been a highlight whilst also claiming 14 catches and 4 stumpings.
The impressive gloveman spent the winter in Geelong playing for Corio Cricket Club in the Geelong Cricket Association, where he impressed with 312 runs at 24, as a fresh faced 18 year old. Hood is only going to keep improving and is now eager to play in Melbourne next season.
The youngster has broken into the Norfolk Minor County side this summer, and is currently averaging 53 in the 3 Day Comp, and has had valuable contributions in the T20 and 1 Day comp.
He is now keen on a return to Australia or even NZ this winter.
