A dynamic cricketer, Dion recently joined Auckland powerhouse, East Coast Bays Cricket Club (ECB) for the ongoing 2024/25 season.
Despite being sidelined by injury for much of the 2023/24 season, the 21-year-old is determined to excel at East Coast Bays during the 2024/25 campaign.
Dion represented Auckland age-group sides all the way up to Under 19 level. The 'Kiwi' has represented his District at National Tournaments and after impressive performances gained Auckland 'A' recognition. On debut, Dion took two vital wickets in a 5-wicket win over Otago A, and will now look to continue his representative cricket for Auckland after regaining full fitness.
With previous overseas experience, Dion turned out for UK based side Sonning Cricket Club in 2023, scoring over 200 runs and taking 20 wickets at an average of just 21. Currently mentored by legendary seamer Sir Richard Hadlee, Dion is a promising talent with a bright future within the game.
