Ethan Walsh is a talented left-arm spinner from London, England.
Playing at Kempton Cricket Club since he was a junior, the 25-year-old transitioned from age-group cricket into a regular 1st XI cricketer for the Surrey Division Four senior side.
Previously a left-arm seamer, in 2022, Ethan switched to left-arm spin and hasn't looked back since. During the 2022 season, Walsh picked up 69 wickets across all sides that he represented, with 5 of them coming in the clubs 1st XI. However in 2023, the tweaker racked up 1st XI wickets at an average of 16.90, showing the progression of his spin.
Boasting best figures of 4/28 in the Saturday League, the Londoner also claimed 40 wickets at an average of 7.40 in the Sunday XI. Whilst putting in match winning performances on the field, Ethan is also a qualified ECB Level 2 coach. Head of Cricket at the local school during the summer months, he has also joined up with Surrey CCC, taking on a part-time junior coaching role.
No doubt a valuable asset for any club, Walsh has recently signed for Sunshine Coast based side USC. Taking up a large coaching role within the clubs female section, we wish Ethan all the best for his upcoming trip.
