James Meggitt is an attacking opening batsman from Cardiff, Wales.

James is a right-handed youngster who has gone through the ranks at his local side, Cardiff Cricket Club, to become a regular fixture in the clubs first-team. Cardiff are part of the South Wales Premier League.

James has made over 100 appearances for the clubs first-team and in 2022 racked up 617 runs, averaging nearly 30, including six half-centuries. Last seasons runs backed up a breakthrough season in 2021 where the Welshman had struck nearly 400 runs from his 17 innings. The year todate Meggit has racked up nearly 800 runs at 40 for the 1st XI side with a high score of 102 not out.

Youngster, Meggitt is also a full MCC playing member and qualified ECB Level 2 coach. He has also been part of the Loughborough University playing squad over recent seasons.

James played in Melbourne for Parkdale Cricket Club in the Cricket Southern Bayside Competition last winter. The Englishman has impressed in a struggling side with 420 runs at 30 with a high score of 98.

The run getter is now keen to explore a return to Australia or New Zealand for the 2024/25 season.
