Jeewaka Sashin is an exceptional batting talent coming through the Sri Lankan ranks.
A schoolboy prodigy, Sashin excelled for Devapathiraja College, and the Negombo age group sides culminating with Sri Lankan Under-19 selection (Oct 2021).
The following year (Aug 2022), he would go on to make his first-class debut for Negombo. Sashin has now featured in 25 domestic matches across the three formats, where he averages mid-20s, with a highest score of 130 in red ball cricket.
Whilst known for his batting, Sashin is a useful off-spinner, and dynamic fielder, who was voted the “All Island” best fielder for the 2022/23 season.
A stand-out prospect, Sashin headed abroad in 2024 where he played for Frocester's 2nd XI in the for their West of England Premier League (Gloucestershire Division). He was a resounding success hitting 767 runs at 38.35 alongside bagging 26 wickets at 23 with the ball.
Now a qualified coach, Sachin is eager to return abroad for a second stint in 2025.
