Rajesh Dhuper is a highly skilled wicket-keeper batter who also offers useful leg-spin and medium pace, representing Odisha in Indian domestic cricket. Since making his debut in 2015, Dhuper has racked up nearly 100 appearances across all formats and has been a consistent performer for his state side.
Endorsed early in his career by none other than former India Test star and English club cricket legend Wasim Jaffer, Dhuper truly came into his own during the 2017/18 season. He was named Odisha’s Cricketer of the Year following standout campaigns in both the Ranji Trophy (275 runs at 68.75) and Vijay Hazare Trophy (164 runs at 54.66).
After a quieter 2018/19 season, he bounced back strongly in 2019/20, scoring his maiden first-class century—an unbeaten 110 against Maharashtra—and finishing the season with 233 runs. Although the 2020/21 Ranji Trophy was cancelled due to COVID, Dhuper returned in 2022 with renewed form, including scores of 71*, 52, and 51 against top-tier opposition, averaging 42.20 for the season.
He has continued to build on that form, registering:
170 runs at 34.00 in 2022/23
64 runs at 21.33 in 2023/24
196 runs at a superb 65.33 in 2024/25, including his second first-class ton (102*).
Beyond Indian domestic cricket, Dhuper has enjoyed two outstanding seasons in the UK.
In 2022, he made an immediate impact with Ilminster in the West of England Premier League, scoring 746 runs at 39.26 and taking 27 wickets at 24.48—demonstrating his genuine all-round credentials.
He returned in 2023 to play for St Peters in the Sussex League, where he absolutely dominated. As of July 26, he led the league in runs, blasting 4 centuries en route to 813 runs at a staggering average of 81.30, alongside 10 wickets at 25.80.
Now looking to return for a third UK stint, Rajesh Dhuper is targeting a Premier Division club for the 2026 season—eager to continue developing his game and contribute as a proven performer with bat, gloves, and ball.
A complete package for any side seeking a high-impact overseas pro with versatility, experience, and a hunger for runs.
