Shayne Moseley

Shayne Moseley is a proven left-handed opening batter who earned his West Indies Test debut in February 2021 after years of prolific domestic form for Barbados. Selected for the tour of Bangladesh, he featured in two Tests, having secured his spot through consistent first-class performances and a standout match for West Indies A against New Zealand A, where he struck 110 and 54.

A product of a proud cricketing family—his uncle Hallam Moseley represented Somerset with distinction—Moseley made an immediate impact in his debut season for Barbados in 2017/18, topping their run charts with 643 at 37.82. He backed that up with a career-best 155* during a strong 2019/20 campaign, which led to Windies A selection and, ultimately, his Test call-up. Opening alongside captain Kraigg Brathwaite, he has shared the crease with several national stars, cementing his reputation as a reliable and technically gifted top-order player.

Moseley also boasts a wealth of English club experience. He first impressed in the East Anglia Premier League for Frinton-on-Sea in 2015, scoring 646 runs at 53.83, and later returned for short stints with Frinton in 2022 and South Northumberland in 2023, helping the latter to the North East Premier League title. More recently, he has been a key figure for Atherton in the North West Cricket League, piling up 1,659 runs at 39.50 across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, alongside contributing with the ball.

An accredited and enthusiastic Level Two coach, Moseley combines professional pedigree with vast overseas experience and is now seeking a return to the UK in 2026, offering clubs a high-class, dependable opening option.
